Joseph Rhodes received a multiple order on the first day of the Metalworking 2002 exhibition in Birmingham, UK, for two power presses.

Joseph Rhodes, one of Europe's leading metalforming manufacturers, received a multiple order on the first day of the Metalworking 2002 exhibition in Birmingham, UK.

Spur Shelving, a leading UK supplier and manufacturer of shelving systems, ordered two 600kN mechanical presses from the Rhodes RM range.

The Rhodes open-fronted presses, modified to be integrated within two new press lines, ands programmed to operate sequentially with roll form operations, will produce upright sections for heavy gauge steel shelving.

To meet increasing demand and ensure continuity of production, Spur Shelving requires robot presses with a proven track record for quality and reliability.

As with all Rhodes presses, a generous frame fabrication, stress relieved to withstand continuous operation on a multi-shift work pattern, will be supplied to accommodate Spur Shelving's specific tooling requirements.

Joseph Rhodes has designed and manufactured five presses for Spur Shelving in recent years.

Each offers innovative design and quality build supported by comprehensive after-sales-service, helping Spur Shelving to maintain its position of one of Europe1s leading suppliers of shelving solutions.
