Lift truck company gains management
certification
Jungheinrich UK was awarded the PAS 99:2006 certification by Stephen Baker, Sales Director of BSI, in a presentation at IMHX 2007 in Birmingham.
Jungheinrich UK is one of only ten companies worldwide to be awarded the PAS 99:2006 certification in a special presentation at IMHX 2007 The International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX 2007) held at the NEC Birmingham was the high profile venue chosen by BSI to present PAS 99:2006, the new integrated management registration system, incorporating existing certification for: ISO 9001:2000 Quality management system, ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system and OHSAS 18001:1999 occupational health and safety management system

Presenting the PAS 99:2006 certificate to Jungheinrich UK Managing Director Hans-Herbert Schultz, Stephen Baker Sales Director for BSI said: "PAS 99 is designed for companies like Jungheinrich who are already implementing the requirements of one or more management system standards and who can demonstrate a high degree of competence in maintaining high performance standards for quality, environment and safety in all its operations".
PAS 99:2006 has been developed for businesses like Jungheinrich with an integrated management system encompassing existing management standards, to simplify procedures for maintaining standards within a single integrated framework.
It is intended to assist larger organisations with more than one management system to achieve a more holistic approach to managing business risks and operate more efficiently.
Accepting the award on behalf of Jungheinrich, Hans-Herbert Schultz said: "It is always good to be first but PAS 99:2006 is more than a certificate as it will help us to manage our operating standards and quality accreditation in systematic way, it enables the implementation of policy, performance assessment and continuous improvement across the business".
Peter Scott, Quality Manager for Jungheinrich UK added: "PAS 99:2006 certification meets our requirements for implementing existing management standards with a single integrated management system and will be recognised by our suppliers and customers as the future benchmark of a well managed and successful business".
