The X, Y, Z positioning table runs on ball-bearings for smoothness and components up to 1.5in (38mm) high can be observed in the standard base unit while items up to 5.5in (140mm) high can be viewed in the high base unit.

Four viewing modes are available - full colour high contrast inspection mode, full colour photo mode, black and white and reverse image.

These modes provide the ability to see certain characteristics that may not be visible under simple optical inspection.
