UK distributor appointed for TopLine products
An electronic production equipment specialist has been appointed as a UK distributor for TopLine dummy components and practice PC boards.
The control unit has been developed for use with the Advanced range of soldering irons that are said to provide an 80 percent performance improvement over conventional tools.
While a conventional station can take between 10 and 90 seconds to reach 350 deg C some Advanced stations can reach this temperature in only two seconds.
This is achieved by using a compact, high-power, small-mass cartridge.
Tests have shown that the time taken to perform a series of five solder joints with any Advanced range station was only eight seconds with a temperature drop of just 30 deg C but a conventional system took twice this time, 16 seconds, and suffered a temperature drop of 70 deg C.
