An electronic production equipment specialist has been appointed as a UK distributor for TopLine dummy components and practice PC boards.
The machine accommodates up to 100 eight-millimetre tape feeders and has a choice of vision systems.
With a 45mm line array camera as standard and a CCD camera as an option the Opal places components from 0201 to 45mm by 45mm BGA, flip-chips, CSP, connectors and odd form SMDs.
Accuracy is up to 40 micron at 3 sigma, and maximum throughput is 11.5K components per hour.
Expandability and ease of use are features of the Opal.
It uses Windows NT for networking and centralised component database handling and can be expanded with additional heads for more speed; also extended tray handling adds more flexibility.
