Soldering stations have intelligent control

A Kaisertech product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team May 15, 2008

Kaisertech has introduced 20W soldering iron bench-top units, which feature an integrating stand and an 'intelligent' control unit that reduces iron temperature when it is placed in the stand.

Kaisertech has introduced its 'singles' family of JBC soldering stations.

Each station works with a dedicated tool and combines the necessary functions in a bench-top unit.

The AD 2910 is the basic control unit that operates with a 20W soldering iron hand piece.

Its soldering iron stand is integrated and the control unit is 'intelligent', which means it senses when the soldering iron is in the stand and reduces the temperature, remaining in a 'sleep cycle'.

A tip extractor/inserter is built in, which allows the use of two types of tip.

Temperature regulation and other characteristics are microprocessor controlled.

With similar features the AD 2940 control unit operates with a 50W soldering iron hand piece.

The other units include the following.

* MT 2920 that provides control operation for micro hot tweezers.

* The AP 2930 for use with a solder feed iron.

* The MD 2960 and MD 2965 for use with a desoldering iron.

They share the convenience features of the soldering iron stands and all have sleep mode, hibernation mode and lock out of parameters by PIN code.
