Kaisertech's low-cost SM rework station is rated at 1300W, has a temperature range of 100 to 500 deg C and quick warm up enables desoldering to be achieved typically in 10s.

Kaisertech has introduced a low-cost SM rework station, the Quick 856AD.

Rated at 1300W the unit has a temperature range of 100 to 500 deg C.

Its quick warm up enables desoldering to be achieved typically in 10s.

The Quick 856AD is ESD safe and is well suited to desoldering parts requiring a large amount of thermal energy and lower temperature, said Kaisertech.

Parts include include mounted socket shielding covers and BGA and QFP removal.

Its three working modes can be password protected to prevent inadvertent changes and a key-lock also prevents other settings from unwanted changes.

Delay time can be set from one to 999s and when the delay is at zero the unit works permanently.

Activities are shown on an LCD display.

Commenting on the new low-cost range Kaisertech sales director, David Sibley, said: "We have always offered premium desoldering products but the introduction of the Quick range now enables us to provide a much-needed budget-price option - without sacrificing quality.".
