Highly advanced bandsaws provide an astonishing 60% improvement in cutting times for very difficult hard metals and aluminium, and have a minimum cut length down to 6mm.

HBM is a new generation of highly advanced bandsaws from Behringer and are being exhibited for the first time in the UK by Kaltenbach.

HBM provides an astonishing 60% improvement in cutting times for very difficult hard metals and aluminium and has taken bandsawing technology way beyond previous levels.

Perfectly suited to stockholders of hard metals and aluminium, initial UK installations are showing 60% improvement in the cutting times of difficult metals, including for example stainless steel, H13 (2344) and D2 (2379).

The HBM range of machines comprise, the HBM540, 440 and 370 models, to suit a wide range of material capacities.

Cutting capacities for the HBM540 are 540mm diameter or 600mm wide x 540mm high, for the HBM440 are 440mm diameter or 440mm x 440mm and for the HBM370 are 370mm diameter or 440mm wide x 370mm high.

Minimum cutting capacity is 15mm diameter and all machines can use TCT and Bi-metal blades.

The new design permits increased material capacity, reduced rest piece length and a minimum cut length down to 6mm.

Many optional features include 'full capacity' hydraulic bundle clamps and an extra wide swarf conveyor to maximise swarf removal rates.

High levels of NC programmable features are available, with PLC control of all functions and digital display, plus storage for length/batch settings.
