Mitre cutting bandsaws, integrated with 3-axis, CNC medium duty drilling machines are ideal for small to medium duty structural steel fabrication work, or for 'added value' stockholder services.

Kaltenbach KBS mitre cutting bandsaws, integrated with KD and KDE 3-axis, CNC medium duty drilling machines are ideal for small to medium duty structural steel fabrication work, or for 'added value' service for stockholders to achieve highly cost effective saw-drilling centres.

On show will be a KBS620 DG NC precision mitre cutting bandsaw, which cuts material up to 360mm diameter or 350mm high x 620mm wide and mitres up to +30 degrees to -45 degrees.

When integrated in-line with either a KD or KDE drilling system, drilled holes up to 30mm diameter from each of three spindles on 2 horizontal and one vertical axis can be achieved.

Neat, user-friendly touch-screen control makes operation simple, with drill controls simultaneously managing length measurement and operation of the transport system.

There are 6 models in the KD drilling range, from the economy, value engineered KDE503 and 603 machines, to the top of the range KD1215, which readily handles for example, 1200 x 400H beams, drilling holes up to 40mm diameter.

KD machines are fitted as standard with an auto tool changer with KD and KDE drilling systems also supplied as stand-alone machines.

The economy KDE 503 and 603 models, combine excellent performance with cost efficiency and are said to be ideal for smaller structural steel applications, portable buildings, mezzanine floor producers or similar fabrication requirements.

Kaltenbach KKS upstroking circular sawing technology can also be integrated with an in-line KDE 3-axis economy drilling machine, providing a very cost-effective, alternative precision sawing-drilling solution.
