High volume circular saw cuts 70mm bar under 15s

A Kaltenbach product story

High volume, straight cutting circular sawing system performs rapid, accurate cutting, a full cutting cycle for example, is less than 15 seconds for a 70mm diameter bar.

Kaltenbach demonstrated for the first time at MACH 2004 their latest high volume, straight cutting circular sawing system, the KMR100 AP.

Designed for rapid, accurate straight cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, a full cutting cycle for example, is less than 15 seconds for a 70mm diameter bar.

Cutting capacity is up to 100mm diameter or 80mm square with the KMR100 AP utilising either HSS or TCT, 370mm diameter blades.

Ideal for high volume sawing applications; typically for the automotive sector, stockholders or sub-contractors with continuous batch cutting requirements.

The first of a completely new Kaltenbach 'feed-cut' design configuration, the KMR uses renowned Kaltenbach circular sawing technology.

Cutting speed, accuracy and finish is assisted by sawing stabilisers on both sides of the saw blade and horizontal clamping both sides of the cut.

Automatic saw blade withdrawal away from the cut surface prior to the return stroke, helps ensure the best possible cut finish.

An inclined magazine is offered as standard for round material with a capacity from 2000 to 6000mm long, with options to also accept square sections and longer materials.

Other standard features include; a chip conveyor, an atomised coolant system and a CNC pusher and length stop measuring system.

The drop-down protective safety hood has a large viewing area and input controls are via a neat eye- level touch pad panel and screen.
