The Kaltenbach KMR 100 AP high production circular saw has enabled customers to take advantage of the saws fast, straight cutting cycle times; less than 15 seconds total-cycle-time for a 70mm diameter bar Ideal for ferrous and non-ferrous materials, two new optional features provide even greater efficiency

An Expanded Bundle Magazine for material bundles from 2000 to 6000mm long with a maximum bundle of Æ800mm (0.5m2) and load of 4 Tonnes gives added unattended flexibility.

An Extended Output Conveyor enables greater cut lengths of up to 1000mm.

The unit incorporates an integrated motorised table, with a lift-off device to push cut components onto a storage rack with a length capacity of 800mm.

Trim-cut lengths and remnants are separated via a chute to a cut-off and scrap container.

The KMR provides rapid, accurate straight cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, Æ100mm or 80mm square, using either HSS or TCT, 370mm diameter blades.

Ideal for high volume sawing applications, typically for the automotive sector, stockholders or sub-contractors with continuous batch cutting requirements.

The dramatic gain in cutting performance of the KMR has been achieved via extensive research, combined with Kaltenbach established circular sawing expertise, with some 60,000 machines in service.

The cutting speed, accuracy and finish of the KMR is assisted by sawing stabilisers on both sides of the saw blade and horizontal clamping both sides of the cut.

Automatic saw blade withdrawal away from the cut surface prior to the return stroke, helps ensure the best possible cut finish.

Other standard KMR features include; a chip conveyor, an atomised coolant system and a CNC pusher and length stop measuring system.

The drop-down protective safety hood has a large illuminated viewing area and input controls are via a neat eye- level touch pad panel and screen.

Kaltenbach welcome the opportunity to help advise customers on the many sawing options available and to demonstrate machines to UK companies in their Bedford demonstration facility or for other European customers in their extensive headquarters in Lorrach, Germany.
