Plasma arc coper/profiler has high cut
finish
A 7-axis plasma coping and profiling system has accuracy and cut finish that allows provides fabricators to use the cut sections 'as cut' in their fabricating procedures.

A recent KC1200 installation at the Severfield-Reeve, Dalton, Yorkshire, UK, facility, (close-linked with a Kaltenbach KDX1215 3-axis drill) had an immediate, positive impact on fabrication production figures.
The company are currently satisfying the huge steel requirements of the impressive Heathrow Terminal 5 complex as part of the Severfield-Rowen group contract with BAA.
At 60,000 tonnes it is amongst the largest single developments in Europe at this time, with structural material sections of 1 tonne/m.
It is due to open to the public in 2008.
The encouraging performance of the KC coper/profiler and drill combination has lead to additional KC1200 and KDX1215 machines (and the latest Kaltenbach HDM1432 heavy-duty sawing system) being installed at Dalton during 2005.
Very low maintenance technology has been employed throughout the KC1200 with 20,000 operating hours between any routine lubrication.
Hinged rollers support the cut material which drop away automatically during cutting, with scrap falling into a bin below the working area.
