Holger Mensler took over as manager of the Advanced Systems product unit (PET and Optical Disc) at Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik, Munich Holger Mensler (34) has moved from his previous job as sales manager for PET systems into what is in effect a newly created position

Previously the function was part of Josef M?rtl's job as Krauss-Maffei's Director of Technology, Good growth prospects for the Advanced Systems unit have led to Krauss-Maffei's decision to promote a competent manager from its own ranks to manage this profit centre.

After studying plastics engineering and business management, Holger Mensler graduated as Dipl.-Ing.

(FH).

He joined Krauss-Maffei's injection moulding machine sales team in 1997, transferring to PET systems the following year.

In 2000, he became sales manager for this product.

In his new capacity, Holger Mensler's primary goal will be to increase sales of Krauss-Maffei's PET and CD production systems.

The company's medium-term focus is on expanding system business with the aim of enlarging its share of the market for production systems for both PET preforms and optical discs.

This means a stronger focus on turn-key manufacturing cells including all up-stream and down-stream equipment.
