Welding machines control fume extraction
For the extraction of fumes at laser and plasma cutting machines, extraction and filtering units with automatic filter cleaning are automatic ally controlled by the machines.
Kemper, a leading manufacturer of welding smoke extraction systems from Vreden, Germany, presents a new and innovative product for the extraction of fumes at laser and plasma cutting machines The new Kemper AdFumE System, a new generation of extraction and filtering units with automatic filter cleaning, has especially been developed for the use with laser- and plasma cutting systems

Flexible robotic welding cell takes larger pieces
A new modular, flexible robotic arc welding system is designed to accommodate larger workpieces, which can be welded in a fixed position.
Extraction and filtering units of the new AdFumE system are individually designed to the needs of the different manufacturers of cutting machines.
The AdFumE System adapts to the other modules of the cutting system and can therefore be fully integrated.
Not only does it blend in, it will also be technically integrated into the system.

Self-clinching nut is 40% closer in thin metal
Now there is a self-clinching nut that can be installed in thin steel sheet down to 0.63mm and it can be mounted up to 40% closer to the edge of sheet metal than existing clinch nuts.
PEM panel fastener solves mating hole misalignment
PEM floating panel fastener compensates for mating hole misalignment up to 1.52mm and can be installed into any type of panel material and allows for radial float in an assembly.
Thus, the control will no longer be hand-operated.
It is automatically controlled by the cutting machine operating system.
The demand dependent suction control of the AdFumE System aligns the capacity to the real demands and cuts the running costs enormously.
The principle: As much as necessary and as little as possible.
This has a direct influence to the power consumption and will reduce also the wear and tear of the filter unit.
The filter cartridges used by Kemper work to the principle of surface filtration.
That means the extracted dusts can not penetrate the filter media.
Because to achieve that, only filters with a laminated PTFE membrane are good enough.
This method is very complex, but it is the only reasonable way of filter units of this kind.
The filters are cleaned during the operation of the filter unit by means of compressed air.
Thus, a non-interrupted operation of the filter unit is possible and the filters are only being cleaned when necessary.
* Kemper - the specialist for systematic air purification in the working environment - since its foundation in 1977 Kemper has been dedicated to the development, manufacture and distribution of exhaust equipment for the safety and environmental protection of welding.
Constant investment for research and development ensure Kemper products remain at the forefront of technology.
These efforts are supported by close cooperation with universities, research institutes and technical supervising authorities.
Today, Kemper is a leading company for systematic air purification at welding work places.
Innovative technology and a comprehensive after sales service form the basis of our success.
Kemper is represented in many countries throughout the world either with a large number of subsidiaries or corresponding sales partners.
Humans, workplaces and environment - a clean and safe working environment is part of todays quality of life.
It increases the satisfaction of the employees, reduces illness and therefore contributes to a higher productivity and better working conditions.
During the welding process a variety of different gases, fumes and dust is released and reaches the lungs with breathed air and endangers human health.
Therefore effective protective measures have to be taken to provide clean breathing air at workplaces.
The type of substances released during the welding process is dependent both on the type of welding which is carried out and the material which is being welded.
As a leading company for systematic air purification in the working environment Kemper offers a comprehensive range of high performance units for all workshop requirements.
The extraction - ventilating a complete workshop does not prevent hazardous substances to reach the breathing zone of the welder.
A sufficient protection is only guaranteed by using local exhaust and ventilation equipment where the hazardous substances are exhausted at source.
With this method, the welding fumes and hazardous substances are captured before they reach the breathing area of the employee.
Local extraction is by far the most effective method for air purification at welding work stations, and is therefore a standard feature in the modern workshop.
Occupational health and safety - not only the fumes and gases created during the welding process are harmful.
The welder and his environment have to be protected against other hazards like UV/IR rays, heat and welding sparks permanently.
For this purpose Kemper offers a wide range of health and safety products.
For example our 'autodark' welding helmets protect the welder and the Kemper welding curtains protect his colleagues against hazardous rays, heat and sparks.
