air
a complete package respiratory system, comprising air flow unit, welding helmet and NiMh battery, hose, belt, battery charger and filter, makes the welder's environment much more friendly.
A breath of fresh air is now available from welding equipment manufacturer Kemppi (UK) with the introduction of the new 'Betafresh' respiratory system, a complete package comprising an air flow unit, 'Beta' welding helmet and lightweight ecologically friendly NiMh battery, hose, belt, battery charger and filter making the work station for the welder environmentally more friendly, safer and comfortable The airflow unit, weighing only 900 grammes is strapped to the back of the operator, allowing him/her complete freedom to carry out normal welding operations

The air flow unit absorbs air efficiently through the P3 filter so that only clean air is fed through to inside the welder's helmet.
The pressure inside the helmet prevents any outside contaminated air entering the helmet.
The flow of fresh air into the helmet can be adjusted in 8 steps from 160 - 210 litres per minute.
If the flow of air falls below 140 litres per minute an audible and visual alarm will warn the welder thereby increasing his/her operational safety.
The NiMh battery has an operational time of approximately 7 - 10 hours before being re-charged.
This equipment is so effective it can protect the welder against dust particles, solid and liquid aerosols as well as smoke.
'Betafresh' respiratory system used with the Kemppi Beta 90X automatic darkening helmet is an excellent combination for most working situations.
