Lightweight MMA/TIG welders work 50m from source
Lightweight, 110V MMA/scratch start TIG inverter welding machine can be used from mains power and from power generators using up to 50m long power supply cables.
Kemppi (UK), the Bedford based subsidiary of Finland's Kemppi OY, has launched Minarc 151, a new 110V lightweight, MMA/scratch start TIG inverter welding machine, as an addition to their existing Minarc range.
Designed using new mould tooling to produce an ergonomic casing to house the 110V power source, the Minarc 151 can be used from mains power and most importantly from power generators using up to 50m long power supply cables, making it ideal for professional repair and maintenance work, agricultural and horticultural applications or anywhere where welding has to be carried out on-site at sea or on land.
Minarc 151 has been designed for use with all electrode types from 1.5 - 3.25mm diameter and for maximum output from a 6.6kVA power, although it will operate perfectly well from a 2.2kVA supply having been tested using 3.25mm diameter electrodes with this supply.
It delivers 140A welding current at 35% duty cycle and 100A at 100% duty cycle with excellent arc ignition and stability.
For TIG welding 150A welding current is delivered at 35% duty cycle and 110A at 100% duty cycle.
Kemppi's ICST (Isolated Cooling System) is a feature of this machine allowing it to be used in extreme conditions.
The ICST allows the cooling air flow only over the primary components of the machine from back to front and not over the vital electronic components which are shielded from dust and dirt particles., whilst the impact resistant casings makes Minarc 151 very robust.
Lightweight, weighing only 4.4kg with an easy grip handle and 'carry strap', gives Minarc 151 'weld anywhere versatility' and is CE marked and Ingress protection rated @ IP23C.
