MIG/MAG arc welding machines are 75% lighter than comparable traditionally built machines and offer excellent arc ignition and performance through electronic arc dynamics control.

Kempact 2520 (5kg wire spool) and Kempact 2530 (15kg wire spool) are two brand new compact 3-phase 50/60Hz 400V MIG/MAG welding machines from Kemppi (UK), the Bedford based UK subsidiary of Kemppi OY - Finland These machines are 75% lighter than comparable traditionally built machines on the market with the weight reduction being achieved through the use of intelligent power source design and construction methods plus the use of the latest control technology

Kempact 2520 weighs 17.5kg, whilst Kempact 2530 weighs 20kg.

Portability and mobility are features of these new machines plus the high duty cycle of 250A at 40%.

Both models provide the user with excellent arc qualities and can be operated from generators, allowing them to be used in on-site applications on construction sites, in agricultural applications, on motorway construction sites, on railway trackside maintenance, on bridge construction and maintenance as well as many other applications either for fabrication or repair and maintenance.

In the workshop Kempact can be easily used 'inside' fabrications such as railway carriages and buses.

Both machines are easy to use having excellent arc ignition and performance through electronic arc dynamics control.

With automatic end pulse and burn back times, there is no need to trim the end of the wire before welding.

Stepless wire feed speed from 1-18m/min and voltage control allows the user to optimise the arc's performance.

Both machines can also be used with flux cored wire by changing the polarity of the machines.

An optional undercarriage allows Kempact 2530 to be very versatile and mobile around the shop floor.

These machines can be supplied with Kemppi's MMT MIG welding guns with their patented DL Teflon liner, which will maximise the weld quality when using aluminium and stainless steel wires.
