Two 'go anywhere' lightweight, simple to use, high power to weight ratio, single phase 230V MIG/MAG welding inverters can be used from either a mains supply or generator for on-site applications.

Welding equipment manufacturer, Kemppi (UK), based in Bedford, whose parent company is Kemppi OY in Lahti, Finland has launched the MinarcMig Adaptive 150 and 180, two brand new 'go anywhere' lightweight, simple to use, high power to weight ratio, single phase 230V MIG/MAG welding inverters

A feature of MinarcMig is that they can be used from either a mains supply or generator for on-site applications.

MinarcMig inverters are the first to have an 'Adaptive' intelligent feature and sophistication found in larger industrial synergic machines, making them easy to use for all skill levels to weld.

The welder sets up the machine with the consumable wire (MinarcMig 150 - Ferrous filler wires only.

MinarcMig 180 - Ferrous, Stainless Steel and Aluminium filler wires) and the shielding gas being used and then simply sets the output power of the machine by adjusting the plate thickness control -simplicity itself! MinarcMig Adaptive does the rest, setting the voltage and the wire feed speed automatically, the two main parameters required in MIG/MAG welding.

The operator can fine tune the arc length separately to change the shape of the weld profile - choose either a flat, concave or convex weld profile.

MinarcMig machines are rated 150A at 35 % duty cycle and 180A at 25% duty cycle respectively with an OCV of 22-31V and are designed for welding light gauge sheet metal using 0.6-1.0mm solid mild steel and 0.8mm-1.0 mm mild steel cored wires.

The MinarcMig 180 is also able to weld with 0.6mm-1.0mm stainless steel and 1.0mm aluminium wires.

Their size (400mm long x 180mm wide x 340mm high) and weight (9.4kg) make them ideal for repair and maintenance departments, light fabrication workshops, educational colleges and training establishments, equipment hire and construction companies as well as the DIY welder.

Farmers, the rail industry maintenance and repair, shipbuilding and marine outfitting are also others user groups, where MinarcMig machines can be used.

MinarcMig's are the ideal fast moving 'cash flow' product for welding equipment dealers and distributors as well as engineers and agricultural merchants.

Their ergonomic design with a plastics, impact resistant casing provides excellent protection of the equipment's electronic components in outdoor environments.

The controls on the front are all clearly marked and easy to use.

The cable outputs are also found on the front of the machine and the casing even has a 'cable tidy' design in which to store and keep tidy reeled welding cables.

MinarcMIG is supplied ready to weld, with only a 5kg spool of wire and shielding gas being required.

Also included in the delivery package are ready mounted welding gun, return lead and a shoulder carrying strap and a gas hose.
