Welding equipment manufacturer, Kemppi (UK) has announced the appointment of Sheldon Brear as their new Technical Sales Engineer for the North of England.

Welding equipment manufacturer, Kemppi (UK) , based in Bedford, whose parent company is Kemppi OY in Lahti, Finland has announced the appointment of Sheldon Brear as their new Technical Sales Engineer for the North of England.

Sheldon (36), is responsible for both distributor and 'end user' Kemppi customer sales within the region.

He joins the company with over 17 years experience of welding industry experience, which will benefit Kemppi customers pre and post sale.

He brings to Kemppi, experience of the technical as well as the commercial side of the industry with both dealers and manufacturers.

He has worked for Frank Myers in Leeds during the 80's and Elga Eurobraze in the 90's.

More recently he has spent 7 years as an Area Manager with Wilkinson Star .

based in Manchester.

Following his initial product familiarisation training at Kemppi, Sheldon will join his sales area at the beginning of August and one of his immediate priorities will be to get to know Kemppi's existing customers and dealers within his region.

Sheldon said: "I have good knowledge of the welding market and getting to know my customers, whether direct or through dealers has always formed an important part of my work, a role I have always enjoyed".

"Joining Kemppi is an exciting career move and I look forward to serving our customers throughout my sales area." Sheldon will have use of a purpose built demonstration vehicle allowing him to easily carry out demonstrations of Kemppi's latest welding equipment throughout his region Sheldon, who is married and has a daughter, lives in Pontefract, Yorkshire and is a keen sports fan, especially interested in motor cycling and he also plays guitar in a local band.
