Micro tooling system speeds up auto lathe changes
Quick-change tooling system for automatic lathes, featured in the "Micro Machining Tools" catalogue, has achieved time savings of up to 40% and can be used in turning and boring operations.
Modular drill can be changed in the machine
Modular high-performance drill, that can be changed while in the machine, adds value by reducing machining time and down-time in drilling operations.
The diamond inserts can be recycled and put into new condition at the Kennametal Hertel facility, guaranteeing a minimum 4mm depth of cut - a dimension large enough for the high performance milling of aluminium.
Included in every order for new tools is an offer to take part in the reconditioning service and the BlueBox itself.
Using this BlueBox the customer returns the used inserts to Kennametal Hertell.
Immediately after having inspected the insert and being classified as recyclable, a replacement shipment for the inserts will be initiated.
This sophisticated supply concept guarantees a European-wide delivery service similar to standard products.
A feature of particular benefit is that the reconditioned inserts are exactly the same size as new inserts.
Consequently, it is possible to interchange single inserts instead of complete sets.
By insuring that all the inserts are the same size, costly insert breakage and application errors are absolutely avoided.
Having identically sized inserts also reduces the costs for both the tooling itself and for storage.
With continuous utilisation of the BlueBox service concept, a customer can reduce his total tooling costs by up to 30%.
The Kennametal Hertel reconditioning program for PCD-milling inserts is the latest addition to the BlueBox service program, and continues the commitment to maximum tool utilisation for our customers.
