Driven tools with VDI40 and VDI50 toolholders allows both drilling and milling to be performed on lathes with driven tool capability and reduce set-up time, improving productivity and flexibility.

With its new programme for driven tools with VDI40 and VDI50 toolholders, Kennametal is meeting the market's growing need for complete machining on lathes too.

This new program allows both drilling and milling to be performed on lathes with driven tool capability.

The VDI holder drive conforms to DIN 5480 and DIN 5482.

The tool interface is available with Kennametal's modular adapters KM40 and KM50 as well as collet chucks in DIN ER32 and DIN ER40.

Driven tools with the KM modular interface reduce set-up time, improving both productivity and flexibility.

The driven tools, which are available in axial and right-angled designs, have high-precision sealed spindle bearings.

The driven tools, which are equipped with an internal and external coolant supply, benefit from a very compact design and are therefore also suitable for use in machines with limited working envelopes.
