Aerospace machining symposium shared 'best practices', discuss strategies and ways how to handle the new demands from the industry, like higher production volumes at lower costs.

Kennametal, a leading global supplier of tooling, engineered components and advanced materials consumed in production processes - has hosted a two day Aerospace Machining Symposium The event was held in the Arabella Sheraton Hotel Nuremberg, Germany, with nearly 100 attendees from all over Europe

World renowned presenters from companies such as Teal Group, Airbus, Rolls-Royce and other famous companies delighted the audience with the latest trends in aerospace and defence advanced materials, machining technologies and outsourcing to developing markets.

Furthermore the forum was used to share best practices, discuss strategies and ways how to handle the new demands from the industry, like higher production volumes at lower costs, increased speed of development to manufacturing and introduction of new materials such as advanced titanium alloys or composite fiber.

The evening event at Kennametal's owned Test and Demonstration Centre at the Technology Centre in Fuerth was the highlight for most of the participants.

In several demonstrations the people could discover Kennametal's experience in metal cutting.

Strategic partnerships between customers, machine tool manufacturers and tool manufacturers will help to drive the innovations, that's the common feedback from the participants of the meeting, which already asked for a follow up event.

The European Kennametal Technology Center will offer in the future more added value to its partner customers to an expanded range of services through metal cutting training sessions, symposiums, and seminars.

Those events make an ongoing contribution to a better understanding of the strengths of the products and their potential for performance.

Furthermore Kennametal will help the customers to optimise their supply chain through Process Optimization and Supply Chain services.

All of these efforts significantly increase the value of the tools for Kennametal's customers.
