Deep hole solid carbide drills penetrate
faster
When compared with gun or HSS drills, deep hole solid carbide drills increase penetration rates by 100% when producing holes up to 30xdiameter in steel and iron.
Introduced at EMO 2007, the Kennametal B27-Z-HPG deep hole solid carbide drills are claimed to increase penetration rates by 100% - when compared gun and HSS drills - in steel and iron applications up to 30xdiameter deep Based on a sub-micron grade substrate, the KC7425 grade provides the durability and toughness required for deep hole applications in steel as well as cast and ductile iron applications in crankshafts, connecting rods and cylinder heads and blocks found in the automotive industry
