Werko products are sold under the Werko brand and various private label arrangements.
Kennametal told manufacturingtalk that the sale of the Werko product line, which is expected to close in June, is in alignment with one of its core internal strategies to continuously evaluate and manage its product portfolio and services.
The Koenigsee site will stay with Kennametal and will con centrate on manufacturing Kennametal tungsten products.
Top-Eastern Drills (TDC) is a manufacturer of HSS drills and taps and also owns and operates a tungsten mine and processing facilities, a molybdenum mine and processing facilities, a state of the art steel making plant, a tungsten-carbide manufacturing plant.
TDC also makes coating equipment for the metal industry.
"Top Eastern Drills is adding a well known brand for their portfolio," said Kemal Yegenoglu, president Kennametal Europe.
"This will provide an excellent environment for this brand to continue to satisfy customer's expectations for many years to come.".
