Kepston, whose manufacturing activities range from the electronics sector to motor racing, has added some heavyweight engineering expertise to its personnel line-up at its Aldridge, West Midlands headquarters.

Phil Peeler joins the company as sales manager for manufacturing.

He has a track record that includes six years as the chief tool designer at one of the UK's leading tool companies and a later position as group manufacturing engineer for an engineering supplier who was heavily involved with the automotive industry.

One of the first market sectors to fall under scrutiny by Kepston's new sales manager will be the automotive industry.

With several years of regular investment in presswork and jig grinding equipment suitable for the electronics industry, the company is well equipped to bring its expertise to bear on the special requirements of manufacturing suppliers to today's car market.

Investment in Kepston's Presswork Section alone has seen the capacity list mushroom to 21 power presses, with more to come in the near future.
