Supply chain execution solution specialist, Kewill Solutions Europe, is pleased to announce the availability of the new release of its EasyTrade software.

Most organisations with large trading communities now have an electronic trading policy and use electronic data interchange (EDI) to streamline their supply chain - reducing lead-times, improving visibility, maintaining control over distribution processes and eliminating re-keying errors.

Kewill EasyTrade is a robust Windows based EDI solution which facilitates the exchange of business documents such as orders, advanced shipping notices (ASNs) and invoices electronically.

EasyTrade is flexible and scalable, bringing together the components of EDI under one system, fully conforming to existing standards and embracing new technologies such as XML.

This allows the simple and effective exchange of business information such as purchase orders, invoices and stock inventory levels with any number of trading partners.

Along with a large number of maintenance items, the new release contains a number of new features requested by users including the ability to part invoice orders, off-line invoice archiving, enhanced VAT code maintenance, and improved print and processing in the order application, and credit and debit note facilities.

The new release has been supported by a series of user conferences held over the summer where users from a diverse range of businesses gathered to network and learn about EasyTrade version 3.7.

EasyTrade users came from a number of industries and saw the features of the latest version of EasyTrade, with some quotes below.

Kewill experts were on hand throughout the conference to help users develop a deeper understanding of the application in addition to holding 'ask the expert' sessions where users could have their questions answered and discuss the topics from the day in more depth.

The day's sessions also provided an opportunity for users to learn more about key industry topics including global data synchronisation (GDS), radio frequency identification (RFID) and Web based EDI.

* "The presentations were very informative and the 'ask the expert' sessions were especially helpful".

* "The conference provided an excellent opportunity to ask Kewill specialists questions on specific topics - we were able to gain a huge amount of knowledge about the features of EasyTrade".

* "I could not wait to get back into the office the next day to have a fiddle with the system and try out all the new things I had learnt." * "The presentations given at the user conference were invaluable to me as a new person in my company".

* "I learnt a good deal on the latest issues in EDI and EasyTrade capabilities from a user's point of view".

Beko Plc Users gave excellent feedback on the conferences and have asked for them to become a regular event.

In response to this, further conferences have been scheduled to be held throughout the UK in autumn.

Jacquie Boast, chief operating officer, Europe, at Kewill, said: "We keep in close contact with our customers and the release of EasyTrade version 3.7 is a testament to this.

Through listening to the new needs and requirements of EasyTrade users we can ensure that software development is customer led and develop solutions that continue to exceed our customers' expectations".

She concluded: "The feedback from the conference has been extremely positive so we look forward to the continued success of Kewill EasyTrade.".
