Digital contact sensor simplifies measurements
Keyence has introduced an integrated contact sensor that simplifies the measurement of height and thickness and is easy to set up and use.
Now measurements such as Stroke End/Bottom-Dead-Centre, Vibration, Eccentricity, Thickness and Gap can be automatically setup within a few seconds with the extra help of the amplifier's two-colour digital display.
Analogue output is provided giving a proportional signal to the measured displacement between the sensor head and the target.
In addition 2 digital outputs can be used to provide Hi, Go or Low measurement status to a PLC or other devices if required.
The range of compact and low profile inductive sensor heads (down to 4.8mm thickness) with high IP-67 resistance mean that an optimal sensor head can be selected according to the application and available mounting space.
This combined with its inductive principle of operation means that traditional problems of dirt, grease, dust or oil associated with optical sensors, can be ignored.
And with the amplifier's in-built automatic trigger, timing, digital display and control functions, the need for external devices such as PLC's and trigger sensors are eliminated, therefore reducing unnecessary costs and setup time. Request a free brochure from Keyence (UK) ...
