KHS-Europe is celebrating achieving over GBP 250,000/month sales of Sodick EDM parts and consumables, from a standing start in July 2003, when the company opened for business.
KHS-Europe, based in Coventry, is celebrating achieving over GBP 250,000/month sales of genuine Sodick EDM parts and consumables, from a standing start in July 2003, when the company opened for business.
President of KHS Europe Ltd., Peter Capp, who is also managing director of Sodi-Tech EDM, commented, "We are delighted with our success so far and are working hard to achieve our target of GBP 1m sales/month by first quarter, 2005.
It's a tough challenge, but we have the right products and have put in place the right infrastructure to provide customers across Europe with the consumables, service and support they are looking for." KHS-E shares premises with Sodick's sole UK distributor, Sodi-Tech EDM, and has been recruiting new staff to cope with the rapidly expanding workload, as well as installing a new IT system to ensure the smooth administration of orders and logistics.
The business has experienced spectacular growth since its formation last year and this is continuing as it takes on additional regional distributors.
May will see the start of an active marketing campaign in Germany and Switzerland, where the company sees considerable market potential for its products and services.
Currently the highest performing area is Italy, followed by Scandinavia then France.
Products are selling well across the range, though there are regional "hot spots", depending on local manufacturing specialisations.
The zinc Z-Wire product, for example, with its excellent speed/cutting ratio and constant straightness, is proving particularly successful, in Northern Italy, where there is a concentration of domestic consumer goods manufacturers.
Customer feedback already shows an extremely positive response to KHS-E, because it provides such fast response to requests for parts and consumables, as well as high level technical support from a dedicated team of application specialists.
