Software checks for collisions in assembly

A Kineo CAM product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Apr 6, 2006

Software tool is specialised in automatically finding and generating collision-free trajectories within the 3D digital mock-up for industrial needs such as mounting and dismounting component parts.

Kineo CAM is glad to announce that we exhibit at Digital Factory (Hannover Messe, Hannover, Germany, Hall 16, Stand D05/1) from 24 to 28 April 2006).

Kineo CAM will present Kineo Path Planner 'KPP', the software tool specialised in automatically finding and generating collision-free trajectories within the 3D digital mock-up for industrial needs such as mounting and dismounting component parts, feasibility studies of human or robotic tasks in constrained virtual environments.

Kineo CAM also highlights dedicated modules which address specific industrial automation needs: * KPP-Device - analyses a kinematics within a very constrained 3D environment or finds collision-free trajectories for an articulated robot.

* KPP-Human - simulates the highly complex human body motion automatically.

* KPP-Sequence - generates all possible ordered combinations (sequences) for dismounting a specific component part.

* KPP-Wrapping - computes a light collision free swept volume and the external envelope of a 3D assembly.

Kineo CAM is the independent software developer of KineoWorks, the worldwide leading technology for automatic motion and path planning granted the 2005 IEEE/IFR Innovation Award.
