New home for packaging firm
Kite Packaging, the UK's fastest growing national packaging distributor, has a new home in Coventry for its central administration and Midlands operations.
The firm says the investment of GBP3 million in a 70,000 square foot building, ensures that Kite has ample space to meet its ambitious plans for growth An extensive refurbishment programme, including environmentally-friendly lighting and a new warehouse roof, saw the 1920s building sympathetically restored in time for 34 staff from Kite's central administration and Midlands branch to make the move from a smaller Coventry base last month

Tube labelling machine order illustrates trend
An ongoing industry trend is towards labelling tubes as opposed to using pre-decorated tubes; a trend that has been evident since the arrival of bespoke tube labelling machines.
Commenting on the move Kite's chairman Bruce McInnes said: "We have grown incredibly in just six years thanks to a committed team and by focussing on delivering customer satisfaction".
"With our new premises we can now accommodate our continued strong growth in the Midlands." Kite has a partnership approach with its 114 employees, the majority of which are shareholders.
Established in 2001 from a zero start, the company turned over GBP19 million last year and has eight UK branches including Coventry, Fife, Manchester, Sheffield, Didcot, Pontllanfraith, Harlow and Portsmouth.
Kite provides packaging products and supply solutions to large users of packaging and can help businesses minimise waste and reduce their carbon footprint by re-engineering their packaging and how they use it.
The Kite group includes Kite Environmental Solutions, a compliance scheme for packaging regulations.
