KIP focuses on service delivery with senior management additions to expanded Customer Support division.

- Greg Jackson joins KIP from major Xerox dealership as new UK Customer Support Manager.

- Team further strengthened by appointment of Les Bird as Customer Support Development Manager.

KIP UK Limited, one of the world's leading suppliers of wide-format digital reprographic systems, has made two senior management appointments to expand its Customer Support division.

Greg Jackson has been appointed as the company's new Customer Support Manager with Les Bird becoming the new Customer Support Development Manager, both reporting to KIP UK Managing Director, Chris Hill.

These appointments confirm KIP's commitment to achieving its vision of providing the industry's leading levels of customer support.

Greg Jackson joins KIP UK from one of the largest Xerox resellers to manage the expanded KIP Customer Support division which covers both hardware and software support, with responsibilities including administration, customer satisfaction, field service performance, and profitability.

KIP will further strengthen the interface with its end-user customers with the recent appointment of Les Bird to the position of Customer Support Development Manager.

Les Bird will be responsible for developing strong relationships with the company's major account customers - both end users and dealers, for formal service performance reviews, negotiation of contract renewals, and training requirements of field service personnel both within KIP and throughout the company's dealer channel.

Chris Hill, Managing Director of KIP UK Limited commented: "These appointments demonstrate both the importance we place in our Customer Support division and the confidence we have in our future success with new products scheduled for release at a time when most of our competitors are downsizing.

By bringing Greg and Les into these key roles, we will introduce a programme of better working practices to increase efficiency, enabling us to focus on delivering on the key elements of customer support that help to ensure complete customer satisfaction." Prior to joining KIP, Greg Jackson was operations manager for a major XES dealership where his responsibilities included all aspects of the service department.

He has worked for several other dealerships in the digital wide format printing market and began his career with Ricoh in copier engineering.

Les Bird has worked in the printing industry for almost 25 years, with the last 13 years at KIP UK.

During this time, he has managed KIP's service division and has been responsible for helping to build the service business over this time.

Previously, Les was an area supervisor for Harper and Tunstall.

KIP's Customer Support division is dedicated to wide-format systems, giving a sharper product and technical focus.

Teams of specialist engineers and support personnel provide first class product and technical support to a rapidly growing installed base across the nation.

Service contracts are tailored to meet individual users' requirements.
