Improved response management with RapidResponse
Elcoteq improves response times to customers with the response management capabilities of RapidResponse from Kinaxis
Kinaxis, the global leader in Response Management solutions providing visibility and coordinated response to change for manufacturing and fulfillment organisations, has announced that Finland-based, Elcoteq SE, one of the world's largest Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers, has chosen to deploy RapidResponse at its Monterrey, Mexico manufacturing facility.
With sales of Euro$4.3 billion (US$5.8 billion) and a global leadership position within the communications technology industry, Elcoteq provides global end-to-end solutions consisting of product development, new product introductions (NPI), manufacturing, supply chain management, and after-sales services for the whole lifecycle of its customers' products.
To increase the speed and accuracy of response to customers while simultaneously improving operating performance, Elcoteq will employ Kinaxis RapidResponse to increase its speed and effectiveness in meeting constant supply, demand and product changes.
RapidResponse will integrate directly with Elcoteq's Baan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to provide supply chain staff visibility and capabilities to respond to change.
RapidResponse has unique simulation capabilities that empower front-line decision-makers to immediately evaluate the impact of any proposed change, such as a customer order drop-in or change, and to collaborate with colleagues to determine the most effective way to accommodate that change.
The impact of proposed response actions are automatically calculated and compared against company metrics such as on-time delivery and inventory impact to ensure that not only is response time shortened, but the right actions are taken.
"RapidResponse will empower our staff to respond faster to our customers with more accurate information," said Esa Retva, Vice President, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management and IM of Elcoteq.
" RapidResponse supports our objective of providing superior value to communications technology customers".
Kinaxis offers a streamlined deployment process that enables customers to realise rapid value from their investment in Rapid Response.
By empowering front-line decision makers throughout Elcoteq with the information and tools they need to respond more effectively to change, Rapid Response will be able to help Elcoteq develop a competency in Response Management that will drive benefits to both Elcoteq and its customers.
"Our solutions have been proven to empower people to respond to change," said Randy Littleson, vice president of marketing at Kinaxis.
"In exploiting Rapid Response, users at Elcoteq will be empowered to respond to the unexpected events that are the norm in a fast-paced, high-growth environment such as theirs".
"Responding more effectively to change will enhance Elcoteq's competitive stance and strengthen its leadership position".
