Waterjet cutting intensifier saves service costs

Waterjet cutting intensifier is offered in models offering pressure up to 4150 bar and run one 0.35mm or two 0.25mm water orifices at 4100 bar for greater flow.

KMT Waterjet Systems introduced its Streamline waterjet cutting intensifier technology at the UK's recent MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition.

The SL-V 60 has a 60HP power rating and is offered in Plus models offering pressure up to 4150 bar.

These versions will allow users to run one 0.35mm or two 0.25mm water orifices at 4100 bar for greater flow, said KMT.

The Streamline pump range is the only one to use a single intensifier concept for all power ratings up to 100HP.

This concept offers significant savings in terms of operating and service costs, said KMT.

* Touch screen operation - the Moeller Touch Screen control provides an intuitive graphical user interface of individual alarm histories and detailed information on potential problems to allow users to achieve optimum component life cycles.

Guidance through all maintenance related topics is also offered and there is the facility to set up remote troubleshooting using internet protocol.

The Streamline SL-V 30 Classic intensifier is an 'entry level' intensifier especially designed for smaller organisations who are making their first investment in the waterjet cutting process and sensitive to initial investment costs.

The Classic series has a number of performance enhancing features including Hard seal End Cap (HSEC) intensifier technology and the energy saving soft-start feature.

These self contained intensifiers are easy to hook up and also feature Moeller controls.
