The biggest of these has been the maturity of the industry which is no longer seen as a black art and is far more accessible to end users and channel alike.
Although initially focused on label printing and label converting, Kelgray has successfully developed its business to encompass a full range of AIDC products including mobile computers and RFID.
The business has also changed its route to market, with Kelgray now focusing on the provision of its own off the shelf software solutions for stock control, proof of delivery and field service, and Kelgray's eCommerce site, barcodestore, offering a comprehensive range of products from all the leading manufacturers for purchase online.
"We have seen the industry change phenomenally over the last 35 years" states Kelvin Smith, managing directory "and Kelgray has always strived to try and keep up with buyers demands" Barcodestore is a prime example of this.
Kelvin has personally invested a huge amount of time into the optimisation and promotion of the ecommerce site and now this is really starting to pay off.
The site now regularly holds the one of the top two positions in the search engines and with the growth of the internet as both a research tool and more recently for online procurement Barcodestore has secured a major foothold in online AIDC retail.
