Following on the heels of its order for a QS shrinkwrapping machine, dairy company Arla Foods UK has just placed another order with Kliklok Woodman for the supply of two Trolley Loaders.

The Tolley Loaders are destined this time for the Arla Foods dairy in Hatfield Peverel.

The TL series of machines is designed to collate polythene milk bottles or cartons and load them automatically in to shelved trolleys (roll containers).

With particular emphasis on the dairy industry, versions of the TL are available to accept trolleys fed manually in to the machine, or delivered automatically from an overhead conveyor.

Arla chose the TL5 model, both with a single lane infeed, with capacity to run four and six pint bottles.

Both machines can size change from one bottle size to another in less than five minutes, claimed Kliklok Woodman.

Each machine has an integrated turntable mechanism that rotates a full collation of bottles so that the bottle handles are in the correct orientation once loaded in the trolley.

Being integrated in to the machine, this mechanism takes up a very small area - a valuable commodity in any dairy, added the company.

In the UK, liquid milk has been 'shelf ready' for many years with virtually all major supermarkets displaying their milk in wheeled trolleys.

Consumers get a good view of the product, the movement of high volumes of milk around the store is easy and shelf replenishment is fast and simple.
