Non-tacky lubricant protects chain
components

A non-soiling, non-tacky lifetime lubricant provides excellent adhesion to chain parts, corrosion protection, water resistance and effective wear protection.

Kluberplus SK 11-299 is a non-soiling, non-tacky lifetime lubricant providing excellent adhesion to chain parts, corrosion protection, water resistance and effective wear protection Since the launch of this unique product, evidence has shown extended chain life over 6 times in a cold and wet environment and an extended chain life of up to three times in a dry, dusty environment

An ongoing study of over 12 months in a food manufacturing plant sees ice transported through a freezer cabinet via a recirculating chain conveyor.

At low temperatures the freezer transport chain previously suffered stiffening and breakage due to increased viscosity of the former chain oil.

Equipment maintenance costs escalated!! Production output became erratic and unreliable.

Where previously 6 chain refits would have taken place Kluberplus SK 11-299 is still running on the riginal chain refit * Costs: Replacement chain = GBP 100.00 per strand.

* Costs: Replacement sprockets GBP 400 to GBP 600.00 each.

* Costs: Downtime GBP 1000s per day.

In ongoing trials in dry, dusty environments where lubrication with a conventional lubricant is not desirable or practical, two major producers of bagged powders have increased asset reliability and thus throughput by extending chain life as well as reducing associated maintenance and labour costs.

In one case, plant shutdown to replace chain can be up to two days and in the other, although individual chain replacement can be a couple of hours, there are multiple conveyor systems to attend to.

Extreme and entirely different problems can be solved with the new wax-based chain lubricant, Kluberplus SK11-299.

Chains operate from initial installation with full wear protection and without the need to re-lubricate; remaining mechanically free even under low temperature, wet, dusty or dry conditions, so ensuring reliable machine operation.

"Significant cost savings have been realised since changing to this new and permanent method of chain lubrication.

" A comment from the Engineering manager.

Kluberplus SK 11-299 is currently in use in the wood, fertiliser, paper, food, textile, brick, and powder materials industries. Request a free brochure from Kluber Lubrication GB ...
