Chain oil resists high temperatures
A specially formulated NSF registered food grade oil has been introduced for chains exposed to high temperatures within the food industry - for example cookers, ovens, shrink wrap tunnels.
Kluber Lubrication have now released a specially formulated NSF registered food grade oil for chains exposed to high temperatures within the food industry - for example cookers, ovens, shrink wrap tunnels.
The special additive combination contained in the oil assures wear protection and provides a stable lubricating film at continuous temperatures as high as 2500 deg C.
Following extensive trials on both test rigs and in practice, the Klubersynth oil has been shown to reduce energy consumption and wear in addition to having a low evaporation loss, thus a reduction in oil consumption, fume formation, and contamination.
In addition to these points this high temperature oil also has excellent adhesion and spreading properties, hence providing better penetration and coating within the lubricating points, increased chain life, thus reduced capital expenditure, reduced residues without lacquer-like build-ups enabling easier chain cleaning, thus less downtime for routine maintenance.
Originally intended for use on chains exposed to high temperatures in spiral ovens used in bread/bun baking as well as meat/poultry cooking this Klubersynth oil can be applied to most chains which are exposed to sliding and rolling friction typically prevailing in traditional roller and skate chains and their guide rails where a sustained temperature of 250 deg C is applicable while still providing a sufficient lubricating film for the rollers, balls, pins and rails.
