Synthetic lubricant frees food plant
chains
Synthetic lubricating oil frees chains in the confectionary industry reduces downtime through enhanced lubricating properties and reduces wear and component costs.
Sugar is the prime ingredient in the confectionary industry and as such can cause no end of problems for the engineers due to the constant build up of solidified syrup on moving parts This build up not only adds load to all moving parts resulting in increased friction and heat build-up but it also blocks any lubrication points preventing the specified lubricant reaching the point of friction

Protection lubricant supplied as spray
Ideal for change parts storage in food, beverage and pharmaceutical batch production environments including moulds and dies a Food Grade corrosion protection lubricant is available in spray form.
Chain lubrication change saved GBP 30,000
Following the changeover to the new food grade oil, savings in non replacement of chain were some GBP 30,000, and can output increased up to almost 3 million cans/year.
Very often this goes unnoticed until the point of failure resulting in costly downtime, lost production and replacement parts.
As was brought to our attention by a major manufacturer who recently experienced such a failure.
The assistance of Kluber Lubrication was sought to supply an enhanced food safe NSF registered H1 lubricant and assist in the prevention of a similar occurrence.
As such the product Kluberfood NH1 6-180 was developed in accordance with the NSF regulations, for lubrication points in an environment affected by sugar, e.g rocking levers, chain joints, tracing pins, spindles, lifting devices, tongs and running surfaces in tablet compressing machines, packing machines, tin foiling machines and wrapping machines.
Benefits attained through the use of the Kluberfood NH1 6-180 include, reduced downtime as a result of enhanced lubricating properties for chains and slides, reduced wear and component costs resulting from good oil penetrative and corrosion protection.
In addition to which the confectionary manufacturer has also noticed a reduction in contamination levels with the oil formulation having a greater resistance to sugar build up.
Kluberfood NH1 6-180 is a concentrate which is easily miscible with water without any technical effort - stirring is enough.
When using the product as a sugar dissolving oil we recommend a mixing ratio of 1:1.
Depending on the application, mixing ratios with a higher content of water are possible.
Kluberfood NH1 6-10 is a ready-to-use product.
In addition to the sugar dissolving properties, Kluberfood NH1 6-180 is also suitable as a deep drawing lubricant complying with food regulations for the forming of aluminium bottle caps for the beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
When using the products as a deep drawing lubricant, the end user is responsible for finding the required ratio of mixture with water.
We generally recommend a ratio of 1:5 when using the concentrate together with water. Request a free brochure from Kluber Lubrication GB ...
