Geo Kingsbury to take over Traub UK and
Eire work
With effect from 1st July 2003, the UK and Eire representation for Traub turning machines will pass from StarragHeckert UK to Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools.
With effect from 1st July 2003, the UK and Eire representation (sales and service) for Traub turning machines will pass from StarragHeckert UK to Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools, which has been associated with Index, another German lathe builder, since the mid 1950s This move will bring the Index and Traub product lines under one roof, as they are in all other major markets worldwide, following the purchase by Index in 1997 of Traub, Germany

Coventry-based foundry has upheld and expanded exports by adding on high-tech mill-turning centre facilities to machine turbocharger impellers supplied to Italian and US customers.
It will also allow StarragHeckert UK, which was formed in October 2002 when StarragHeckert, Switzerland, purchased Traub Heckert UK, to market the prismatic range of machine tools from Starrag and Heckert together with the range of complementary European machine tools such as Durr Ecoclean, enabling the company to offer a total manufacturing solution.
Both Geo Kingsbury and StarragHeckert UK will work closely together to ensure a seamless transfer of responsibilities and that all existing customers of Traub products are fully supported.
