Irish agency handles CNC lathes, machining centres
Sales and service in the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland of German-built Index and Traub CNC lathes, as well as Hermle and SHW machining centres will be handled by a new subsidiary.
Sales and service in Eire and Northern Ireland of German-built Index and Traub lathes, as well as Hermle and SHW machining centres, which until recently were managed from the Gosport headquarters of sole British agent Geo Kingsbury, will with immediate effect be handled by a new subsidiary in Barefield, Co Clare.
In addition, the company will sell Ecoclean washing machines in the North under Geo Kingsbury's UK agency agreement with the German manufacturer, Durr.
Called Geo Kingsbury Ireland , the subsidiary is headed by newly-appointed operations director, Gerry McCready.
He graduated in mechanical engineering from the University of Limerick in 1984 and has 21 years experience in engineering.
He has held senior posts in several manufacturing companies and ran the entire machining operation in one Dublin firm, including selection and purchase of machine tools.
His detailed knowledge of metalcutting extends to the application of cutting tools, having worked for the Irish distributor of a leading tooling supplier.
The new company will provide a consistent presence for Geo Kingsbury and its principals in Ireland, and will co-ordinate locally the service and support of more than 100 machine installations.
