Video images converted without framegrabbers
Analogue to digital video converters capture and convert NTSC/PAL video into digital images, then transfer them to a host computer, eliminating the need for plug-in framegrabbers.
Its primary purpose is to serve as a hardware platform for software to capture video and send it out over an Ethernet link.
The board includes a 600MHz Analog Devices ADSP-BF561 BlackFin processor, with 64MB, 133MHz, SDRAM, 10/100Mbps ethernet interface, PAL/NTSC multiplexed video input, 4MB flash and RS232/422 serial interface.
Using two 100-pin connectors, the board offers access to both the full 32 bits of Async bus as well as both PPI (video) ports and both high-speed serial ports (SPORTS).
This allows custom peripheral boards to be added easily without the time and expense of developing an entire board from scratch.
There are three versions of the Falcon-561, Falcon-561-DK-FULL, which includes the Falcon-561 board, Analog Devices Visual DSP development software package, Analog Devices HPPI-ICE PCI emulator, documentation, manuals, examples and accessories.
The Falcon-561-KIT excludes the Analog Devices Visual DSP and HPPI-ICE and the Falcon-561-BO is a board only option. Request a free brochure from Kane Computing ...
