* About Keronite - Keronite Incorporated is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keronite International Limited, a company established in Cambridge, UK, in 2000.

It provides technology services to industry, enabling manufacturers to reduce costs and improve performance through the wider use of aluminum and magnesium.

The patented Keronite surface treatment technology known as Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) is used to convert the surface of light metals into an extremely hard, crystalline ceramic oxide with outstanding properties in terms of resistance to corrosion and wear.

A chrome-free immersion process, Keronite is used to treat the inner as well as the outer surfaces of the most complex shapes and the technology is successfully being used across a whole range of industries from automotive, aerospace and oil and gas to electronics, architecture and a variety of engineering applications.

Keronite has its own manufacturing facilities for process plant and electrolyte solutions and works through a network of experienced operating partners to deliver surface treatment solutions across North America, Europe and Asia.

Ross Brown, general manager of Keronite Inc, explained that the new Center represents a state-of-the-art facility for application engineering and development as well as providing limited pre-production and batch-production capabilities.

"Any production work will be undertaken on a very selective basis with a view to supporting our operating partners and developing future business for them.

In addition to this, the new Technology Center provides us with a superb training facility, enabling us to pass on specialist skills to partners and to introduce new products and technologies as quickly and efficiently as possible." The Keronite Operations team will also be producing and supplying Keronite electrolyte solutions from the new Indianapolis Center, ensuring that the company maintains cost-effective and timely deliveries and continues to meet the rapidly expanding demand from customers across the US.

Keronite has a growing network of sales representatives, strategically located in the key manufacturing centers of the USA.

They work both with OEMs and with sub-contract surface treatment companies to provide light metal solutions to end users in industries ranging from electronics to oil and gas, from automotive to architecture, and from consumer products to military and defense.

Keronite CEO, Lars Olrik, is confident that investment in the North American market will quickly lead to success.

"So many customers, inspired by what we have to offer, are keen to see the technology in action before 'signing on the dotted line'.

This is understandable with such an innovative process, but whatever the surface requirements, we are looking forward to demonstrating just how flexible and robust the Keronite technology really is.".
