Kontron introduces the Kontron CP6001-V

The Kontron CP6001-V is a 6U value line CompactPCI CPU board designed for cost-sensitive industrial applications.

It comes equipped with the 1.86 GHz Intel Celeron M processor 440, the Intel 945GM chipset, up to 4 GB 533 MHz DDR2 SO-DIMM and the ICH7-R IO controller hub.

The CPU board is suitable for demanding, powerful industrial automation and IP switching applications.

The 4HP single-slot, space-saving CompactPCI board comes with necessary industry interfaces such as a serial port, VGA graphics interface, four Ethernet ports, two front USB ports, PMC, HDD, Compactflash and USB flash disk support.

The Kontron CP6001-V has an integrated graphics accelerator on the Intel 945GM chipset.

It provides high resolution graphics up to 2048 x 1536 pixel @75 Hz and 2D/3D multimedia quality video.

The Intel 945GM chipset enables balanced memory usage between graphics and system for optimised performance (up to 128 MB of dynamic video memory allocation).

The Kontron CP6001-V's Intel ICH7-R I/O Controller Hub provides advanced I/O technology including USB 2.0 and Serial ATA300.

The PMC site, USB Flash, Compactflash socket and an optional onboard 2.5in hard disk can be used simultaneously in a single 4HP slot.

The modular extensions support all industrial requirements for write-protected operating systems and data storage capabilities.

Two Gbit Ethernet interfaces available on the front panel operate independently of the two PICMG2.16 compliant Ethernet channels routed to the backplane.

The versatile Kontron CP6001-V can be used in a system or peripheral slot.

A rich set of LEDs is available on the front panel for debugging and diagnostic purposes.

The Kontron CP6001-V has a self-installing board support package for Microsoft Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded and Linux.

The onboard temperature and voltage sensors can be monitored and the front panel LEDs, hardware watchdog and timer can be triggered to support application-specific features.

Kontron offers a range of modular standard 1U up to 10U CompactPCI systems that can be used with the Kontron CP6001-V CompactPCI CPU board.

Power supplies are available for AC and DC environments.
