Mass flowmeter measures up in difficult areas
A revolutionary new design of single straight tube Coriolis mass flowmeter ensures problem free installation and maximum accuracy in notoriously difficult applications.
Radical flowmeter designed for low flow use
A radical new design of single Z tube Coriolis mass flowmeter, ideal for blending, dosing and batching, is designed for low flow applications.
The Optimass 1000 delivers best-in-class measurement performance, achieving an accuracy of +/-0.2% of measured value.
The instrument is compact, fitted with secondary containment as standard, in either SS304L or 316L stainless steel, and is also available with a liquid/steam heating option.
The Optimass 1000 uniquely has a single straight tube appearance but incorporates two close coupled measuring tubes which are pressure rated to 100 bar.
The maximum operating pressure of the instrument and the secondary containment are also rated to 100 bar.
The flowmeter is available in four sizes, S15 (1/2in), S25 (1in), S40 (1.1/2in) and S50 (2in) with nominal flow rates of 4,800kg/h, 20,000kg/h, 60,000kg/h and 125,000kg/h respectively.
Densities of materials can range from 400 to 2,500kg/m3.
The Optimass 1000 uses Krohne's modular electronics converters, which can be fitted across its range of flowmeters.
This allows instruments to be supplied with a converter to suit its intended application, providing either basic functionality or high-end specification with diagnostics capability.
Suitable for use across a broad range of industries including chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, water and pharmaceutical, the Optimass 1000 will operate reliably between -40 and 130 deg C.
The instrument can be fitted with most industry standard hygienic connectors and DIN, ANSI and JIS standard flanges.
"The launch of the Optimass 1000 will have significant impact on flow measurement," said Eddie Bridges, Krohne's global product group manager for mass flow.
"It offers high-end specification at an affordable price meaning that companies need no longer compromise on measurement accuracy and can now reap the full benefits of what this can offer their processes by reducing costs or improving quality.".
