Wire rope hoist lifts company's crane sales
The new CXT range of cranes launched a year ago by Konecranes (UK), the East Kilbride Crane Manufacturer has proved to be a resounding success.
The CXT hoist has revolutionised the overhead crane market where the hoist utilises a rope drum large in diameter but short in length.
A major advantage of the CXT is that the floor area under the crane, as well as space below and above the crane, can be taken into more efficient use.
The load handling area goes closer to the walls and the crane also lifts the load higher.
This gives not only better use of cubic meters in an existing factory but flexibility in factory layout and design of new buildings and material flow planning.
Two of the cranes are 10 tonne SWL with 11.5 metre spans and the third is a 5 tonne at 23 metres span.
One of the 10 tonners is to have 2 x 5tonne trolleys operating.
The cranes will be fully equipped with all Konecranes modern features, such as DynA Invertor control on travel and traverse motions; two speed hoists; and Konecranes Remox radio control plus anti-collision operating between the new cranes and existing units.
Premium Condition Monitoring is standard to minimise maintenance downtime by predicting lifetime and providing real time information on the cranes performance to date.
The order is to be delivered in November this year.
