The modernisation team at Konecranes UK have paved the way for a replacement/upgraded crane order from Jaguar Cars at Halewood.

The modernisation team at Konecranes UK have paved the way for a replacement/upgraded crane order from Jaguar Cars at Halewood Konecranes have carried out extensive crane regeneration programmes in the past at the Halewood plant and have now been awarded the contract to supply a further upgraded crane which will be delivered March 2003

The crane is a 50/10 tonne SMD model at 22.86 metres span.

It will be fully equipped with Konecranes cutting edge technology such as DynAHoist variable speed and DynAC Invertor variable controls on cross and long travel motions.

It will be operated through an existing radio control.

Konecranes' own AC Frequency Control System provides the most modern and reliable drive for cranes, significantly improving controllability and reducing maintenance costs.

True vertical lift, floodlights, platforms on each girder, all motion limit switches, back up pendant controls, totally enclosed live axle transmissions and festoon cables will be fitted as standard.
