Konecranes UK has won the contract to supply Corus with a Konecranes SMD Spacemaker crane for the ORB Electrical Steels facility in South Wales, UK.
East Kilbride crane manufacturer Konecranes UK has won the contract to supply Corus with a Konecranes SMD Spacemaker crane for the ORB Electrical Steels facility in South Wales, UK.
The order is for the supply of a 30/6 tonne SMD Spacemaker double girder crane with a 20m span.
It is designed with an A8/M8 heavy-duty classification, and will have a number of Konecranes state of the art technical specifications.
These include: DynAHoist with ESR; DynAC travel and traverse Konecranes Inverter controls, and it is cabin controlled with pendant back up.
The crane will also have girder and trolley platforms and true vertical lift with all hoist functions condition monitored for ease of maintenance.
The contract worth in the region of GBP 220k will be delivered in January 2007.
