Whitwick Engineering (Coalville) will get a series of Konescranes CXT cranes and hoists for its facility at Coalville in Leicestershire after ploacing a contract with the company.

East Kilbride crane manufacturer Konescranes UK has won the contract to supply Whitwick Engineering (Coalville) with a series of Konescranes CXT cranes and hoists for its own facility at Coalville in Leicestershire.

The order is for four 1.5 tonne and four 1 tonne CXT hoists and two 2 tonne and one 1 tonne CXT cranes.

All of the hoists are 2-speed with DynADrive variable traverse, festoon cables and controlled by radio with back up pendant.

The CXT crane has Konescranes DynADrive invertor variable speed control system on cross and long travel and 2-speed hoisting with radio control and festoon cables.

All cranes and hoists will have Konescranes ControlPro condition monitor where the hoist is monitored through its lifetime, allowing maintenance duties to be planned to suit the actual duty of the crane and provide protection against overload, overheating and detect hoist brake wear prior to failure.

The contract worth almost GBP80k will be delivered May 07.
