Korenix/s JetNet Series Industrial Ethernet Switch now has a powerful new member, the JetNet 4500, the flagship Ethernet Switch among the managed series.

Following the success of the JetNet 4000 Industrial web-managed switch, Korenix developed the JetNet 4500 Industrial managed switch with enhanced network management functions such as SNMP, RMON and enhanced network redundancy support such as Ring coupling and RSTP over Super Ring.

In some applications, it is impossible or not reliable to connect all switches in just one redundant Ring topology.

Too many devices in one ring might result in longer recovery time; therefore, reducing the reliability of the whole system.

With the JetNet 4500 Series, switches can be separated into several rings to be coupled.

The JetNet 4500 Series with Ring Coupling function can be used with the JetNet 4000 Series which is equipped with Super Ring.

In addition to the Ring Coupling function, the JetNet 4500 supports RSTP over Super Ring.

It allows the JetNet 4500 Super Ring to co-exist with commercial switch's RSTP redundant ring protocol.

Network administrators can plan the network system with more flexibility.

The JetNet 4500 also supports SNMP and RMON, compatible with network management software such as IntraVue.

The JetNet 4500 Series includes the JetNet 4508, 8-port copper, and JetNet 4508f, 6-port copper plus 2 fibre ports models.

All JetNet series will be displayed on the Korenix booth at the SPS Show 2005.
