Kistler's RoaDyn System 2000 for intelligent wheel force measurement already includes measuring wheels for cars, SUVs and light trucks.
Although based on road going production cars, touring cars have a specially tuned racing chassis and high performance running gear.
The exceptionally lightweight RoaDyn S625, shown fitted to an Opel DTM car under test in Portugal, uses internal signal transmission to eliminate disturbance of the aerodynamic properties of the car.
The higher speeds and cornering forces of F1 cars necessitates the use of titanium for the structure of the RoaDyn V6F1 wheel.
Used by various Formula 1 teams, the V6F1 wheel is now more adaptable and has an extended service life.
New electronics provide Improved signal processing more resistant to extreme temperatures and analogue signal with the option of 0-5V, 0-10V and +/-5V output.
Experience gained in both DTM Touring Cars and F1 is used to improve the performance of the wide range of Kistler RoaDyn wheel force measuring systems for use on road vehicles from small cars and vans to heavy lorries.
